You know, when I started posting Waterlocked, I really didn’t have any idea it would be as popular as it was. I’d been coming off a very exhausting year personally and professionally. I wrote or published five full length novels in 2012, and I’ll admit, I was pretty worn out. Still, I’d been wanting to tell Gemma and Terry’s story for about a year, so I just decided to go ahead and write it for myself. I knew it wouldn’t be long. I knew it was mostly a fun love story. And I thought a few dedicated blog readers might get a kick out of it if I just posted it as I wrote.
I kinda underestimated you guys.
Sometimes it’s hard to write a book knowing that even when you’re finished, it will be months before readers get to see it. But with Waterlocked, I had a great time getting very fast feedback from readers as I was writing. It was refreshing for me creatively, and I think it produced a great little novella by the end. I really do feel like I’m starting off 2013 with a fresh wind. So thank you for being part of that. I can tell you that the first draft of Blood and Sand is going very quickly, and I think part of that is due to the pure fun of posting Waterlocked.
Your epilogue is HERE. I’ll be loading the e-book up on Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo later today, so hopefully it will all be available for purchase (if you want) by tomorrow or the next day. I’ll post the links as I get them. I will be keeping it free on the website for another month or so if you’d like to continue to read it here. There is a short prologue for Baojia’s book, Blood and Sand, included at the end of the e-book for those who’d like to buy it.
Thanks for reading. Have a great week!
