Happy book birthday, BLOOD AND SAND. Let’s celebrate with a give-away!

942756_349810995140706_2072055012_nI was hoping to wait on this post until all the sales links were live, but Barnes & Noble is still not up, and I didn’t want to wait any longer.

Happy release day to BLOOD AND SAND!

You know, I honestly didn’t know how many readers were going to be enthusiastic about a book about Baojia. He was a relatively minor side character in the Elemental Mysteries, and he was decidedly on the quiet side. So the fact that you guys have embraced his story the way you have just thrills me.

So with no further ado, here are your sales links!

Amazon (e-book and paperback)

Barnes & Noble

Createspace (paperback)

And when you’re finished with the book, if you could leave an honest review where you bought it, that would be fabulous and greatly appreciated.

Also, in celebration of the new release, I’ll be giving away one signed paperback of the new book here on the blog. To enter, just leave a comment between now and Friday, telling me who you’d like to read about next in the Elemental World (OTHER THAN Ben and Tenzin, who are getting their own series in the future.) So, let me hear ya!

And I hope you enjoy BLOOD AND SAND.

Thanks for reading,

UPDATE: Congratulations to Miranda, who won the signed paperback of Blood and Sand!

Loving it so far!!! Really want to hear more about Daniel. Had a glimpse in Waterlocked but really want to know more!!!!

  2. cathie says:

I love all of your books and I would love to have an autographed book from you. The story I would like to hear would be about Tenzin. It would be nice to know where she came from and her whole story. Congratulations on your new book!!!

  3. Christie Lee says:

I ‘m going to have to read the entire series again! I just love it more every time. I would love to read more from Carwyn ap Bryn’s clan. He has so many children! I’m sure I will read them no matter who the main characters are. Thanks for taking me to a different world!

  4. Jessica Frew says:

I love the world you have created.

I think I would like you to expand it more. Maybe go to another time or place. I am curious about the ancient immortals who were involved with the elixer. Just seems like with such a long lifetime, there would be lots of amazing stories and places you could go in time.

  5. pugratt says:

I would dearly love a story about Mother aka Saba. “I have spent thousands of years searching for wisdom, I know enough now to know that I will never know everything.”

  6. Marisa B. says:

I would like to hear more about what happened with Lucien, Saba, Arosh, and Kato after all the stuff went down in A Fall of Water with the “Elixir”. I would read on this series no matter which character you chose to write on. You have a way of pulling the reader in to each person’s story, it is quite brilliant!

  7. Miranda says:

Well, if it’s not Ben and Tenzin, since they’ll have their own series (good to know, YAY), I would like to see something with Gavin and/or (don’t know where you’re going with that exactly but maybe) Deirdre, even though after just finishing Blood and Sand I actually still want more about Baojia and Natalie, I’m such a clear answers type. lol Murphy would be an interesting read too, I think. I just have the feeling Lucien isn’t ready to move on yet but it’s your world, not mine, and I’m sure you could make me believe he is 🙂 and I do love his character too.

    1. elizhunter says:

Miranda! Congratulations! You are the winner of the signed paperback of Blood and Sand!

Please email me at ElizabethHunterWrites@gmail.com with your contact information so I can get the book in the mail to you next week.

Thanks so much for your comment here on the blog and I’m so glad you enjoyed the book!

  8. shanese vickers says:

I want a novella about Lorenzo he kind of redeemed himself in the end. Hearing more of his back story would be awesome! Or a full book of Saba. Any character would be great reading.

  9. kaitlyn p. says:

I think your next book should be about Giovanni and how he turned bsck in 1400…go in depth into hide past.! And maybe some more on gio & b….since they’re my absolute favoriteeee couple !!

  10. Johnna says:

I would love to hear more about Carwyn’s family, especially Ioan. Carwyn is still my favorite character and Ioan’s death obviously hit him hard, I’d like to know more about this son.

  11. Caroline Cameron says:

OMG I pre ordered this book way back and now its out its captivating although Baojia was not a massive part he was there in the background mysterious and this book as all you books does not fail to deliver so far it has me guessing all sorts , just totally loving it thanks for gifting us with your fantastic talents x

  12. johnnacf says:

I would like to know more about Carwyn’s family, specifically Ioan. Carwyn is my favorite character and Ioan’s death obviously hit him hard, I would like to know more about this son and their relationship.

  13. Elaina M. Roberts says:

Beyond the obvious (Tenzin and Ben!), I’d like to know more about Isabel and Gustavo. They were secondary characters, yes, but I liked the little glimpses of them throughout the books. Other than them, I’d have to say… a prequel of sorts of Giovanni’s early years with Tenzin (unless it’s included in the aforementioned Ben/Tenzin story line. Anyone from Carwyn’s family. lol

  14. Katie says:

I’m loving ALL of your books. I know you said not to ask about Tenzin, but I would love to read about her, SOON! I’d love more of Caspar’s back story too…

  15. Darby says:

Early Gio (but then who would he fall in love with?) or… Hmmm… I think someone said Beatrice’s grandfather. Or wait, I can’t remember his name- her relative that Baojia works for.

  16. Kim Stewart says:

I really want a book for Tenzin the most, but I wouldn’t mind reading one for Lorenzo, Gavin, Kato, or Saba. I can’t wait to read Blood and Sand!

  17. Mikaela D'Eigh says:

Cannot wait to sink my fangs into this new one ~ I know it will be as thorough and excellant as the others. I’m interested to know if anything develops between Dierdre and Gavin ~ there definitely seemed to be some sexual tension when they rescued Gio in Rome. So devestating for her to lose her mate (can’t imagine Gio without B!) but eternity is a long time to be alone and shattered hearts eventually mend, right? 😉

  18. Andrea Shubin says:

I love all your characters. Anything you write about the Elemental World of your imagination, is thrilling! I look forward to new stories. Thank You!

  19. Erica says:

I can’t wait to read this book! I would love to hear the story of Arosh, Kato and Giovanni after the battle in Rome. How long does Gio help his grand-sire? Does Kato recover?

“Your blood, Giovanni, son of Andreas. Your blood to heal your grand-sire. Far as long as he needs it. Your blood and the blood of your children.”

  20. Alacia says:

I would really like to know more about the ancient vampires Saba Kato Arosh and the history of vampires in your world in general… How did the species come about and evolve? Was the first vampire originally human or not?

  21. Mamaaubry says:

Preordered for kindle and just got it today. From what I read on the teaser Tuesdays I can’t wait to sit in my quiet corner after the kiddies go to bed. The next characters I would like to read about would be Gavin and Deirdre

  22. Linda says:

I’m loving the new book!! And of course after Tenzin and Ben, I would love to see Gavin and Deirdre story. I think I saw a spark between them when they rescued Gio 😀
…Lucien too, he sounds very interesting…. mmm… Actually, I would love this series to go on and on, so a story of every character would be nice, hehehe…. yeah, I am very greedy with your books!

  23. Monika Page says:

Just got home and found the book on my Kindle. Can’t wait to read it! It’s going to be a long night ;-). Read everyone’s reply and it looks like I am all by myself wanting to read about Samson Son of Arosh. There has to be a story about the man who doesn’t speak. I really really want to hear that story. Please!!!!!!!!!

  24. Krystle Lewallen says:

I would love to read more about Deirdre. I know she lost the love of her life but I hope there is more for her. I couldn’t imaging losing my one true love so I really want her to find someone that could make her happy again or maybe not someone but something like a cause or a group of people that she can be happy with. After loosing Ioan maybe she can only be content. And, can I just say that your writing and storytelling skills are superb. Out of all the books I have read none compare to yours. You are a writer I aspire to be like someday. Thank you for writing more and more please don’t ever stop.

  25. Lacee says:

So excited to read the book! You have no idea! As for who I’d like to read about in the future, I definitely think it’d be interesting to see something from Lorenzo’s point of view. He’s such an interesting character that I think a book from the dark side would be highly entertaining. If not him, then perhaps Deirdre or maybe take us back some time and relive the days of when the elixir was first brought into the picture. Quite honestly, anyone you write about, I will read!

  26. Kym says:

Wow! Have to say it…Blood and Sand? Total bookgasm. To be honest, I love the series, but wondered if I’d love Boajia. Ms. Hunter definitely changed my mind about what I had formerly thought a mildly annoying character. Now, he’s definitely a stoic, yet deeply emotional, hottie! 😊 Since Ben and Tenzin, my favorite would be couple, will have their own series, I’d like to see at least a chapter of after the baby Natalie and Boajia. I simply must know if/when/how she turns. I’d also like to see Deidre and Gavin together. Lucien was fascinating, too. With him working closely with Boajia now, I hope to see more of him.

  27. Sarah says:

I’ve read it! Stayed up till 3 in the morning and now I’m very bleary eyed with the kids running around, good job its holidays here! The book was amazing, I don’t know how to put into words how great it was (!’ll try on Amazon a bit later), you are truly an amazing storyteller, I loved Baojia from the moment he appeared even if he was a bit on the quiet side and I’m very happy with his story. I also spent half the book with a stupid happy grin on my face getting to hear about all the others too, truly great!

As to who I’d like to see in the future I think Deidre would be great but after some time as I think she still has a lot of grieving to do before she moves on, but then hopefully you’ll be writing these stories for a long time 🙂 Ben is only 18 so he needs a while to mature (he’s going to be dreamy!) and we know you have a plan there. I guess I’d love to know more about the set up in Scotland, Tavish seems to me like a great character, someone who needs a woman to thaw him out! I’d also like to learn more of Carwyn’s other children, as others have said maybe Daniel. Anything that keeps our favourites cropping up as well, I loved that!

Thank you so much, it was truly wonderful and now there’s nothing to look forward to immediately, is there? maybe? Oh and I just wanted to say that the day before the book went on sale Amazon UK pre order was working. It downloaded to my kindle at 12:30am UK time.

  28. Donna Guyette says:

I love all the books you have written. But I am interested to know Stephen’s story. I am very glad that Tenzin is going to be part of a series.

  29. Patricia Salzmann says:

Got mine yesterday but have to wait until the weekend so I am uninterrupted! Since I am a history type person I would love to hear more about Gio’s early years, How he built his reputation, met Tenzin and Carwyn. Also, we were left hanging a little after Waterlocked. Who’s going to clean up the Elixir mess. Are all the good guys goingto gettogther again???

  30. Serena says:

Ivan! (I know I know – please don’t hate me!) I am sure there is a reason he has chosen his life and I am sure it is a good reason. Just as I am sure that is soul mate can turn him around for the better.

  31. Jenny Greiner says:

    No spoilers here!
Even though I tried to slow down and enjoy it longer, I could not! I loved it!! It definitely lived up to all of the Elemental books! You really got into Baojia’s head and I really feel I understand him so much better.
I think Lucian would be a good character to explore further, but truthfully I will happily read anything you write, Elizabeth.
    Thanks for another amazing read!

  32. lynnlynn2009 says:

I am so in love with all your books! By far my favorite series! I would love to read more about Lucien. He’s been alive so long but still so in tune with his emotions and humanity. Lorenzo’s perspective would also be interesting. Even though he was the antagonist, I’m sure his story would be compelling and provide us an opportunity to understand his motives better. Whomever you choose to write about I’m sure it will be as great as all the others. You have created such an interesting and enthralling world. Thank you!

  33. hrlowery says:

Who to know more about? Easy, Gavin and Diedre. Okay, I might not have spelled that right but you know who. Their tempestuous relationship was beginning and Gio and B were ending their series; you absolutely must develop it.

  34. Chrisie says:

My most favourite books ever … In just a few weeks I’ve lived these books both the 4 elemental series and this the 3rd from the elemental World Series . I was so excited when amazon delivered my pre-order of this latest to my kindle 2 days ago (28th may) I loved that the characters I already knew were still in this book. This book featured Bs college friend Natalie a journalist who is covering a story about the bodies of murdered girls turning up in a desert. This book brings back Boajia was the vampire who once guarded Beatrice in a previous book in the elemental World Series. The story line carries on the political world of this vampire world and the complicated relationships while uncovering another mystery that is some how linked the drugs that effect both mortals and immortals. I want to know more about natalie and Boajia and hope there life is continued into the next book.. If these series come out on audio book ill buy and listen to them all again on the long journeys I do every week for work.. Elizabeth please please write more quickly xx

  35. Heather Tredor says:

Very excited for Ben and Tenzin’s story, and after Blood and Sand, I’m definitely hoping to see more of Baojia and Natalie. I think Patrick Murphy is intriguing and would love to read his story. Sexy Irish guys, FTW! Basically, if you write it, I will read it.

  36. ekaisi54 says:

i just ordered the book . i haven’t started it yet but i also would like to have a further look into deidre life but also would like to see more of gavin and im looking forward to reading about baojia something about him just grabbed ur attention thanks for becoming 1 of my favorite authors good job and keep up the good work cant wait to read more of ur books and enjoy your sommer with your family 😀

  37. Rachael says:

I’ve not let myself buy it yet as I know as soon as I start reading I won’t get any work or sleep! ;). The reviews look fab – think the weekend my have a treat included 😀 I think I’d like to hear more about Isabel and Gustav because we have seen them frequently in the series but not had that much detail.

  38. Marva says:

I just finished reading Blood and Sand. OUTSTANDING as usual!!!! I love how you incorporated the favorites from the Elemental universe. I don’t mean to sound greedy, but what is next?!!!! Enjoy your summer and try to get some writing in on the side (hint, hint).

  39. Sonja Ashcraft says:

I am knee deep in this book. And overwhelmed at how your mind works. I want to read a more personal story about Lorenzo, there has to be more to him than what we hated about him. His beauty only shined through once, and to get to such a hateful ugly place there has to be more than jealousy to him and losing a lover. Or, maybe that is all there is. ??

And if he doesn’t make the cut, then Tywyll! A water vampire so old. He is intriguing! I had a hard time picturing him. But he was a key player for every one.

Love to you! Keep writing! You’re amazing.

  40. Robin says:

Bought “Blood and Sand” on the 28th, and finished it the same day. Could not put it down. (Who would have thunk that Mr. Dark, Mysterious and Deadly would have such a sense of humor?) Because of the overlapping plot lines, may I suggest that “Building From The Ashes” and “Waterlocked” be read in order to see the whole picture.
All in all, Loved the book and the series.

  41. Kelley says:

Congratulations! I’m going to start Blood and Sand today! I know I’ll be done in a day or two, and I’m already looking forward to your next release (and it really doesn’t matter what series! I’m a fan!!!)

  42. Deja French says:

Oh I would like to read about Gavin and Deidre? I hope I spelled them names right 🙂 I think they are all really great books

  43. sasha chipperfield says:

Loved Blood and Sand and I’m so glad Baojia found someone to love him in Natalie. Would love to read more about Carwyn’s clan! Love all your books! (overuse of the word love acknowledged 🙂

  44. Jen says:

I would love more carwyn because I just love him…but I know his story has already been told. I’m a sucker for broken hearts and broken people so maybe Dierdre …I like happy endings. 🙂

  45. Heidi Saperstein says:

Love all of your books and selfishly want a signed copy (yes, I’m not too proud to say it). I haven’t gotten to this story yet, because I’m finishing another, but it’s next on my list and I CAN’T WAIT!

  46. Julie says:

Loved this book so much.; From the plethora of pop culture references (the idea of both N and B being Doctor Who fans made me squee like a little girl) to the combustible chemistry to the joy of visiting with ‘old favorites’, this book was such a joy to read. Thank you!

  47. peggy rispo boess says:

I loved all the books in the elemental series. A minor character that stood out and I think I like to see a book about is Tavish. He was just so different from the other male characters I think it would put an interesting spin on things.

  48. Cyndi Montgomery says:

YAY! It’s here!!!! :o) Can’t wait to read it.

I’d love to read more about Saba. Seems like she could fill a few books with as long as she’s been around. 😉

  49. asvojta says:

I loved, loved, loved this! Thank you for the ARC copy. I would love to see a story about Lucien. And, of course, I can’t wait to read about Ben & Tenzin.

  50. Laura Hernandez says:

I absolutely LOVE this series. Though I find every character very interesting, I have two characters I really wanna read more about. 1) Carwyn. His life before/after being turned, how he decided to sire all his “children” and how he came to know Tenzin and Gio. 2) Tenzin – as old and fierce as she is, I think her back story would be fascinating.

  51. Glenna says:

Can’t wait to start Blood and Sand, though after I purchased it, I had to reread Building from Ashes (I just LOVE Carwyn and Brigid!) but of course then I had to reread Waterlocked too, with Gem and Terry!!!) almost finished there, then on to Blood and Sand!! So excited!!!

  52. Glenna says:

I just have to say to anyone who has not read all the Elemental Mysteries starting with Hidden Fire, then you all are soooo missing so much! I strongly suggest for you to start at the very beginning, alot of these questions can be answered and you feel so intouch with all of the characters!! I SO LOVE each and every one of them!! 🙂
